The Miriam Hospital
Many of the doctors at Orthopaedic Associates have recently been admitted to the Medical Staff at The Miriam Hospital. With the developing Center of Excellence for joint replacement surgery at Miriam, we felt it important to be a part of this program for our total hip and knee patients.
Dr. Carl DiRobbio joined our practice in September of 2015. He will be treating patients at our Cumberland location. Dr. DiRobbio has long served the northern Rhode Island community and we look forward to working closely with him.
Nathalia Doobay, DPM
Governor Gina Raimondo has appointed Dr. Nathalia Doobay to the Rhode Island Board of Examiners in Podiatry. Dr. Doobay looks forward being active in her new role and serving the community.
Stanford School of Medicine Recognition
Orthopaedic Associates was recently identified by Stanford School of Medicine, Clinical Excellence Research Center, as one of the very few orthopaedic practices in the United States operating at the frontier of value, defined by both high quality care and low total health spending for their patients.
Orthopaedic Associates participated in a site visit by Stanford School of Medicine in order for them to better understand our “secret to success”. Their goal is to promote national understanding and adoption of our care delivery features that contribute to our outstanding performance on quality and per capita health spending.
We are very proud to be recognized nationally for our efforts.
As technology advances, so do we. Recently ultrasound guided joint aspiration has become more mainstream in helping your physician more accurately place a needle into your joints for fluid removal or cortisone injections. The doctors at Orthopaedic Associates have all recently been trained in using this office based new technology that’s safe and free of radiation, unlike X-ray needle guidance. This can only help in making you feel better, without any additional risk!
