For Your Appointment
If you are a new patient, please arrive to your appointment early in order to complete the registration process. In addition, please bring the following:
- Driver's License or State ID
- Referral (If Required by Insurer)
- Insurance Information
- Copies of Operation Records, Medical Records, X-rays, MRIs, and CT Scans from Prior Doctor Visits
- A List of Current Medications and Any Known Allergies
Orthopaedic Associates, Inc. accepts Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance policies, United Health insurance policies, Aetna, Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, workers’ compensation and Medicare. We also work with many private insurance plans. Our hospital affiliations include Roger Williams Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital – Our Lady of Fatima, Miriam Hospital and Landmark Medical Center. Please also be advised that our staff makes every effort to obtain accurate insurance deductible and copay information prior to your office visit. We obtain this information directly from your insurance company's website, as we are instructed to do; however it is unknown how often your carrier updates their site. Note that your copay and/or deductible will be due and collected at the time of your office visit, according to the rules and regulations of your insurance company and Orthopaedic Associates. We recognize this is a complicated and often expensive matter, and appreciate your patience and understanding.
