Dr. Braidy Shambaugh obtained her medical degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. Completing her orthopedic surgery residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, she received awards for overall academic performance, commitment to orthopedic resident education, and outstanding patient care. During her sports medicine fellowship training at New England Baptist Hospital, Dr. Shambaugh served as an assistant team physician for the Boston Celtics and Harvard University Crimson. She currently serves as a team physician for Providence College. Dr. Shambaugh specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder, hip, and knee joints. She has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of sports-related injuries in athletes of all ages. Additionally she provides care for degenerative shoulder conditions, including shoulder joint replacement surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Shambaugh enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities including soccer, softball, skiing, hiking, and running.
