About Ira J. Singer, MD

Dr. Ira Singer attained his medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program, he trained at four major teaching hospitals including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) and Massachusetts General Hospital. Obtaining his fellowship in Reconstructive Knee & Arthroscopic Surgery at the Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program.  In 1999, Dr. Singer jointed the Orthopaedic Associates team where he has now practiced for over 20 years. Since, he has served on the Board of Counselors for American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and President of the RI Orthopaedic Society. Currently, he serves as an orthopedic consultant for Providence College Sports Medicine. His special interests include arthroscopic knee surgery, general orthopedics, and sports medicine including arthritis, fractures, and sports related injuries.
