About Louis J. Mariorenzi, MD

Dr. Louis J. Mariorenzi obtained his medical degree at Brown University in Providence, RI.  After general surgery training at St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Medical Center in New York, NY, he completed an orthopaedic residency at Tufts–New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.  Following orthopaedic residency he sought fellowship training in adult hip and knee arthritis and joint replacement surgery at The Royal London Hospital Medical College in London, UK.

In 1987, Dr. Louis J. Mariorenzi returned home to RI to join his father A. Louis Mariorenzi MD and later his brother Michael P. Mariorenzi MD at Orthopaedic Associates where he has now practiced for over 30 years.  Dr. Mariorenzi has held numerous leadership positions on many boards and committees at St. Joseph Hospital-Our Lady of Fatima Hospital and Roger Williams Medical Center.  He has been voted “Top Doc” in orthopedic surgery by his peers in Rhode Island Monthly magazine nearly every year since the initial publication in 1994.  Dr. Mariorenzi specializes in treatment of adult arthritis and joint replacement surgery.  Away from the medicine, he enjoys hiking, sailing, skiing and mountaineering.  He has successively climbed all “Seven Summits” including Mt. Everest.
