Peter A. Pizzarello, Jr., MD

Dr. Peter Pizzarello, Jr. obtained his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA, and then completed his orthopedic residency at the Tufts Combined Orthopedic Residency. Following his residency, he performed a sports medicine fellowship at Tufts Sports Medicine Fellowship through New England Baptist Hospital and Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Massachusetts. This allowed him to learn advanced arthroscopic skills and to gain experience taking care of athletes, while assisting the head physician of the Boston College football program. Before joining Orthopaedic Associates in 2018, he had been in private practice with his father in Providence, RI. Dr. Pizzarello performs general orthopedic surgery, specializing in treating the hip, knee and shoulder joints, including knee replacement surgery, hip replacement surgery and arthroscopy. Outside of the medical field, Dr. Pizzarello enjoys photography, cooking, playing piano and guitar, as well as engaging in and coaching sports with kids, particularly his two children.
